Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I now offer video sessions in addition to in-office sessions. Video sessions are offered through a secure, HIPAA-Compliant telehealth software that comes with my EHR (Electronic Health Records) software. As of June 1st, 2020, all clients have the option of attending sessions in-office or through video. The telehealth software I use is Telehealth by Simple Practice. You can use your smart phone, tablet, laptop, or desktop computer to attend video sessions.
Currently all insurance providers I am In-Network with are covering telehealth sessions. Normally, it varies widely which specific insurance plans cover telehealth sessions; at this current time telehealth sessions are covered no matter what the plan would cover before the pandemic. After the coverage ends (whenever that may be), some plans may not cover telehealth sessions. I am staying in contact with insurance providers to keep updated on the status of coverage.
For all clients choosing to attend sessions in-office, I have put it additional safety measures to reduce the risk of possible transmission and spread of COVID-19. These measures include:
- Face masks are required for all people in the office.
- Increased distance between seating to keep seats six feet apart.
- Cleaning in between clients.
- Fans in my office to control and limit air circulation.
